General Interface Information Report

Solution Introduction:

This Small management solution provides an application that learns and then targets specific network interfaces which are in an administratively enabled state. The solution then polls the basic interface information, namely the interfaces physical types, physical bandwidth speeds, Maximum Transmission Units (MTUs), operational status, and the administrator input description on each interface.

This solution also collects the IP address assignments to each of the interfaces.

The solution presentation is based on the MIB-II which in turn is based on the IETF standard MIB RFC1213 which includes the objects necessary to maintain the interface information.
