Solution Introduction:

This management solution focuses on monitoring each of the overall TCP connections statistics. Connections that are opened against the managed network elements may it be Routers, Switches or any other network type device that supports the TCP-MIB.

The main goal of the management process is to enable the network administrator to baseline and monitor all TCP connection statistics running against a particular element or a group of elements or even the whole network and deduce TCP specific performance and error characteristics.

The solution presentation is based on the IETF RFC 1213 TCP MIB Objects.
