Solution Introduction & Overview:

This Small management solution provides an application that learns the Routing Information data represented by the standard IP Routing table available on each of the managed elements.

This Small management solution addresses the market’s need to retrieve and to analyze Routing Information data to specifically monitor routing information  changes.

The solution defines a set of modules that reads the MIB interface tables of the managed elements and filters those interfaces independent of their types. The solution then collects the Routing Information data which includes the interface through which the next hop of each route, the destination IP address of each route and its associated route Mask and IP TOS fields. Furthermore, each route’s protocol, type, metric, and age are also collected and reported.   

The solution presentation is based on the IETF standard IP-Forwarding MIB which includes the objects necessary to maintain the CIDR IP Routing Information.
