Solution’s Basic Graphs:
Interface protocol traffic statistics graphs display the values of the MIB Objects representing each protocol (application) traffic being transmitted and received. Traffic statistics are in packets and bytes calculated per monitored interface which is specifically enabled for this purpose by the network administrator in a production environment.
The relevant MIB Objects are:
cnpdAllStatsInPkts,
cnpdAllStatsOutPkts,
cnpdAllStatsInBytes,
cnpdAllStatsOutBytes,
cnpdAllStatsInBitRate, and
cnpdAllStatsOutBitRate respectively.
The delta values calculated by this management process could be plotted in graphs for each of the objects above. Note that the last two objects are gauges and are plotted as they are polled.
The following is a sample protocol traffic statistics graph, where the inbound number of Bytes and the Inbound number of Packets discovered (whether the traffic is transiting or addressed to the device) through the particular interface for the SNMP protocol.

The User could also directly view the “4-Way” graphs for each of the statistics referred to above. “4-Way” graphs include the summarized Daily, Weekly, Monthly, and Yearly activities of the detected NBAR protocol as is shown below.
